What Customers Say About Their Course and Online Boating Test

I have completed two different Virginia web-based boater safety courses and one boater safety course for the District of Columbia and your site is the best one I have worked on. The videos are a great help to better understand want you are trying to learn. You have done a great job with this course. I have learned more from this site then any other and it's FUN! I think this course will make the waters on the Potomac (and elsewhere) safer for boaters. I have not had the chance to go to a classroom course, but this course is great if you can't and maybe better for those that have a hard time learning in a classroom.

I have taken all of the Power Squadron courses over my many years in boating, and even taken courses leading to 6-pack licensing. By a long shot, this is the best and most comprehensive course I have ever taken, well thought-out and beautifully presented. The visuals and animations accompanying the course were fabulous. Thank you for answering my questions in such an expeditious manner. I recently studied for, took and passed your test for boating safety for South Carolina. The manner in which you present the course material and its learning objectives forces students to study "all" the material in order to attain a satisfactory passing score. This approach is highly comprehensive and conducive to learning, retention, application and use of boating safety on both land and water environments. As a retired Naval Officer, I understand and appreciate the need for boating safety. I served in the U.S. Navy for over 30 years, taught sailing and power boating informally at a number of yacht clubs and have generally been on the water throughout the world for over fifty years. Having just moved back to Virginia, I thought I would brush up on this state's boating practices, so I took the Boat Virginia Course on Responsible Boating. I would like to thank you for the very well-designed and informative site and exam that you have generated. A job very well done!!! I have been a Massachusetts boater since I was taught by my father at the age of 10. I am now 50 and own and operate a 42' Luhrs Sport Fisher and travel extensively throughout the East Coast. While vacationing on Winnipisaukee, I noticed a very strong presence of Marine Patrol and was extremely impressed with their attention to boaters and everyone's safety. I was especially impressed that New Hampshire mandated a boater safety course and licensing for even PWCs. If only my state would adopt such vigilance in keeping the public as safe and informed. I have always said that you should be given a license so that you may jeopardize its' loss if you don't act responsibly.
