1. Study and Pass the Arkansas Boater Safety Course

   Study the free online course material. After completing the course, you’ll take the Arkansas Final Exam. (If you don’t pass on the first try, don’t worry. Keep taking the exam for free until you pass.)

2. Pay and Sign-Up for In-Person Exam

   After passing and paying the $24.50 course fee, you'll print out a temporary certificate, which will serve as your admission ticket for the state-required In-Person Exam. Find a testing location at the AR Boating Education Testing Sites website.

3. Take the In-Person Exam

   Your printed course certificate will be your admission ticket to the in-person exam. After you pass the in-person exam, you will receive your official boating safety certificate from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission by mail.
