Arizona Boating Regulations and Laws
The Arizona boating safety education certificate (commonly known
as a Arizona boating license) is proof that a boater has successfully
completed a boating safety course. Although not required by law
to get the Arizona boating license, many boaters take the boat
safety course in order to save on their PWC or boat insurance.
Arizona
law states that it is illegal for a person under the age of 12
years to operate a vessel with a motor of greater than 8 horsepower
(which includes personal watercraft) unless:
- An emergency exists or...
- Another person at least 18 years of age is on board
