Course Outline

Two types of flags are used to indicate diving activity.

Canadian diving buoy

A rectangular red flag with a white diagonal stripe is attached to a buoy to mark the diving location. The flag must be at least 50 centimetres square.

Alpha flag: blue-and-white flag

A blue-and-white International Code Flag A (or Alpha flag) must be displayed on boats involved in a diving activity.
