These courses were created by NASBLA and produced under a grant from the Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund administered by the U.S. Coast Guard.

Choose Your Course
Part A of Level I - Comprehensive National Boating Incident Investigation and Analysis Course. Part A contains the first six lessons of the overall course. This lesson is the first of the six and is called Incidents, Boating Incident Report Database (or BARD), Defect Notifications, and Fraud.
When you register for this course, you'll pay the $50.00 course fee before you begin studying. After passing the course, you'll immediately print out your NASBLA Boating Incident Investigation Online Certificate.
This course contains four units that will teach crew members about crew efficiency, team coordination, survival, and the rules of the waterways.
When you register for this course, you'll pay the $150.00 course fee before you begin studying. After passing the course, you'll immediately print out your NASBLA Crew Member Online Course Completion Certificate.
This course contains three units that will teach marine law enforcement officers how to apply the navigation rules when taking enforcement action and investigating boating-related incidents.
When you register for this course, you'll pay the $95.00 course fee before you begin studying. After passing the course, you'll immediately print out your NASBLA Navigation Rules Online Course Completion Certificate.
Part D of Level I — Comprehensive GPS Forensics Course for marine law enforcement officers. This course contains six units that will teach marine law enforcement officers what they need to know to successfully recover, interpret, and report on GPS forensics data.
When you register for this course, you'll pay the $195.00 course fee before you begin studying. After passing the course, you'll immediately print out your NASBLA GPS Forensics Online Course Completion Certificate.
Much of the content of this course is presented as audio files that you will listen to. These files are integral to your mastery of the material. You will be given the option for this audio content to play automatically as you advance through the course topics.
After you have completed all of the unit quizzes in this course, you will be required to achieve a 70% score on an exam covering these units to be awarded a certificate acknowledging your successful completion of the course.
