Who Needs a Washington Boater Education Card?

  • Operators 12 years of age and older (per phase-in schedule) operating a power-driven vessel with an engine that is 15 horsepower or more.
  • Phase-in schedule

    • 2012 - Under 41 years of age
    • 2013 - Under 51 years of age
    • 2014 - Under 60 years of age
    • After 2014 - All boat operators born after 12/31/1954
