Cooperation With Other Agencies

An AHJ should have mutual aid agreements with other agencies that can assist when requested.

• These agencies can provide personnel, equipment, and technical advisors.
• Typed (I–IV) and credentialed teams meet specific criteria to provide the AHJ with known team capabilities.
• Some agencies have specialized rescue assets such as side scan sonar, dog teams, or hoist-capable helicopters.
