Course Outline

NFPA 1670 Standards on Operations and Training for Technical Search and Rescue Incidents identify the levels of functional capabilities that an Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) should meet at a minimum level. This includes:

  • Hazard identification
  • Risk management
  • Training levels of personnel
  • Availability of internal and external resources
  • Requirements for responding to water search-and-rescue incidents
