National Incident Management System

The National Incident Management System (NIMS) is a resource available from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). NIMS provides guidelines for resource typing by establishing a comprehensive, integrated national mutual aid and resource management system that provides the basis to type, order, and track all (federal, state, and local) response assets.
