Course Outline

Bifurcation day beacons are diamond-shaped. They are placed at the junction of two channels to indicate the preferred (main) channel when a channel splits.

Starboard Bifurcation Day Beacons: Starboard bifurcation day beacons have a red triangle in the centre of a white diamond and a red border. When travelling upstream, the preferred channel is to the left (port) and these day beacons are on your starboard (right) side.
