Do you need Maine Boating education?

You need education if you are older than 12 years of age, are unsupervised, and will be operating a vessel powered by a motor of more than 10 hp in Maine. You also need education if you are between 16 and 17 years of age and will be operating a personal watercraft (PWC).

Do you need a Boating License in Maine?

Maine law requires boat safety education for unaccompanied operators of motorized vessels (over 10 hp) older than the age of 12 years.

Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Requirements

You must be at least 10 years old to take this online course.

You do not have to be a resident of Maine to take this online course.
