Do you need to take a boaters safety course to get a Missouri boating license?

This non-certified boating safety course is required for you to obtain a temporary permit, which is only valid for seven days. The temporary one-time permit allows you to operate a rental vessel, or “demo” vessel for sale, if you do not have a valid boater identification card.
