All pleasure craft must be equipped with personal lifesaving appliances that are in good working order and easy to reach in an emergency. The quantity and type of personal lifesaving appliances that you are required to carry on board is based on the type and length of your pleasure craft. Personal lifesaving appliances include flotation devices (lifejackets and personal flotation devices), buoyant heaving lines, lifebuoys, and reboarding devices.
