Marine Events

Marine events include races, regattas, and tournaments.

• If an event is planned on Oklahoma state waters, you must contact, in advance of the event, the agency which has jurisdiction over the waters—the Oklahoma Department of Tourism and Information, U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Grand River Dam Authority, or USCG.
• After approval is granted, notify the Marine Enforcement Section of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) Division, in writing, at least 15 days prior to the event.
• If an event is being held on federally controlled waters, you must apply for a permit from the USCG at least 30 days prior to the event.
