Wyoming law designates the following dangerous operating practices as illegal.

Improper Speed or Distance  is not maintaining a proper speed and distance while operating a vessel. Specifically, it is illegal to:

  • Operate a vessel at greater than “no wake speed” in any areas marked “No Wake.”
  • Operate a motorized vessel at greater than “no wake speed” within 100 feet of:
    • A vessel that is drifting, trolling, or anchored
    • A person(s) in the water
