Contraventions Act
Some offences are criminal, and others are regulatory. The Contraventions Act covers how regulatory offences may be prosecuted. Under the Contraventions Act, those with enforcement authority may serve a person who has committed a contravention with a ticket.
Here are some examples of fines.
