Operating a PWC

In Utah, these are the operating laws for PWC.
- PWC may be operated only during the hours between sunrise and sunset.
- A PWC must be covered by liability insurance, and proof of insurance must be on board whenever the PWC is operated.
- When operating a PWC above “slow – wakeless (idle) speed,” you must stay at least 150 feet away from any PWC, boat, person, or launch area.
