Float Plan for Short Outings

Before going out on the water, even for a short time, always tell a responsible person. Ask that person to take action if you fail to return on time. At the very least, tell this person:

• A brief description of the paddlecraft in the group
• Who will be traveling in your group
• The destination and route, including the expected time of departure and return
• Who to contact if you do not return on time
